ハードディスクの中を捜索していたら、過去に書いた文章がいろいろと出てきました。なにせかなり以前に書いた文章なので、ときどき時代と合わない表現など出てきますが、今読んでみるとなんとなく面白かったので、こちらで公開

（八）ギターソロのこと

「ギターのイイところは学校で教わらないところだよ」　こんなことを言ったのは、かのジミー・ペイジでしたか・・？

音楽（ギター）の専門学校が乱立するこの時代では、少しばかり時代遅れに感じるこの言葉は、実はギターを弾くときの私の”座右の銘”だったりします。今風に言えば「ギターなんか好きに弾けばイイんだよ」いう感じですかネ。

私は、自分の曲の中でギターソロを弾いたりしますが、聴く人の中には私の演奏に共感しづらい人もいるでしょう。

なんせ、私は音が外れてもお構いなしですし、リズムもシンクロしていないことが多い（コレ故意にやってる場合とそうでない場合があります）ですから・・。

私のギはターはノイジーとかアバンギャルドと言えるほど崩れてはよいませんが、正統派と言えるほどしっかりしたフレーズを弾くことも、ほとんどありません。我流ではありますが、そうは言っても、やはりスタイル的にはどちらかというと古いスタイルに属していると、私は思っています。まあ、あなたが”それは違う”と言えば、それはきっと違うのでしょうが、とにかく私が好きにギターを弾くとあんな感じになるのです。

マジメにギターを勉強している人には、おそらくあまり参考にはならないでしょうネ。

ギターを弾くとき、私は自分のできる範囲で、ある抽象的なイメージを表現しようとしていますが、それは子供が画用紙に、メチャクチャな線をカキナグルのに似ているかもしれません。

私が好きなギタリストは、自分のスタイルをしっかり持っているギタリストです。これは必ずしもテクニシャンである必要はありません。もちろん誰しも最初は、誰かの模倣から入る（練習する）ものですが、それにとどまらずに”個性”を出しているギタリストにはとても魅力を感じます。

逆にどんなにテクニシャンでも、まるで心に響いてこないものもありますが、これは言ってしまえば冒険心が感じられない演奏だったりします。この意味で、やはりギターソロはそのギタリストの個性が最も発揮できる演奏の一つと言えるでしょう。

イングウェイっぽいとか、ヴァンヘイレンっぽいとかスティーブヴァイっぽいとか、はたまたジョーサトリアーニであったりジミヘンであったりクラプトンであったりキースリチャードであったりジミーペイジであったりジェフベックであったり、ロバートジョンソン、ロバートクレイ、BBキング、ギタースリム、ジョンリーフッカー、マディウォータース、グラントグリーン、エイドリアンブリュー、サンタナ、ロバートフリップ、ライクーダー、ザッパ、ジェフバクスター、ディッキーベッツ、リッチーブラックモア、トニーアイオミ、カートコバーン、ジョニーサンダース、ニールヤング、チャックベリーなどもう誰でもいいのですが、個性豊かな素晴らしいギタリスト（！　あえて）達の演奏の模倣から一歩でも二歩でも抜き出た個性を感じさせるギター演奏はもう無条件で好きになります。

さて、さらっと言ってしまいたいのですが、私はギターを弾くのははっきり言ってヘタです。ソロを弾くのは好きなのですが、テクニック的にも”ウマイ”とは言えません。ギターソロでは、自分の出来る範囲での”音楽的メチャクチャ”にチャレンジしていますが、冒険に出たまま帰って来れないこともよくあります。テクニックで補えない部分を”個性”と言ってしまうのもどうかと思いますが、それをそのまま発表してしまうことで、聴く人にある提案をしようとしています。

それは、ギターソロは楽しいということです。抽象的ですが、冒険している演奏は聴けばわかるものです（そう信じたい）。私の冒険はしばしば失敗します。しかしそれをも”楽しい”と言ってしまいましょう。それでもイイのです。自分の好きなように弾けるギターソロはとても楽しく、そして自由です。録音でもしなければ（まあ私は録音しますが・・）、それはすぐに消えてなくなります。どんなふうに弾いてもイイのです。ヘタでもメチャクチャでも・・。冒険心こそ最も大切だと、そう思います。これヘタクソなギタリストの言い訳に聞こえますかネ。いずれにしても私は自分の出来る演奏しかできませんから・・。

そう考える私を冒頭の言葉はとても励ましてくれます。音楽（ギター）の学校が乱立するこの時代においてもネ。

いわゆる”ギターソロ”のニーズは今や少なくなり長いギターソロはともすれば”一人よがり”だと言われてしまいます。でも「ホラ、やってごらん」といってるようなこの言葉を聞くと、何だかギターが弾きたくなってきませんか？

(8) Guitar solo

In this era of music (guitar) vocational schools, this word, which feels a little out of date, is actually my "inscription" when playing the guitar. In a modern way, it's like, "If you like playing the guitar, it's good." I play guitar solos in my songs, but some listeners may find it difficult to sympathize with my performance. After all, I don't mind if the sound is off, and the rhythm is often not synchronized (this may or may not be done intentionally). My gi shouldn't crumble to the point that Tar is noisy or avant-garde, but he rarely plays solid phrases that are orthodox. It's my style, but even so, I think it belongs to the old style in terms of style. Well, if you say "it's different", it's probably different, but anyway, when I play the guitar as I like, it feels like that. For those who are seriously studying guitar, it probably won't be very helpful. When I play the guitar, I try to express an abstract image to the best of my ability, which may be similar to a kid's drawing paper with messy lines on the drawing paper. My favorite guitarist is one who has his own style. This does not necessarily have to be a technician. Of course, at first, everyone starts (practices) by imitating someone, but I am very attracted to guitarists who are not limited to that and are showing "individuality". On the other hand, no matter how technician you are, there are some that don't really touch your heart, but this is a performance that doesn't feel adventurous. In this sense, the guitar solo can be said to be one of the performances in which the individuality of the guitarist can be demonstrated most. Ingway-ish, Van Halen-ish, Steve Vai-ish, Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, Clapton, Keith Richard, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Robert Johnson, Robert Cray, BB King, Guitar Slim, John Reefker, Maddy Waters, Grant Green, Adrian Brew, Santana, Robert Flip, Likeder, Zappa, Jeff Beckster, Dicky Bets, Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iomi, Kurt Coburn, Johnny Sanders, Anyone can do it, such as Neil Young and Chuck Berry, but I'm unconditionally fond of playing guitar that makes you feel the individuality that is extracted from the imitation of the performances of wonderful guitarists (! Dare) who are rich in individuality. Become. Well, I'd like to say it lightly, but I'm afraid to play the guitar. I like playing solo, but technically I can't say it's "Umai". In the guitar solo, I try to "musically mess up" as much as I can, but often I can't come back while I'm on an adventure. I think it's a good idea to call the part that cannot be supplemented by the technique "individuality", but by announcing it as it is, I am trying to make some suggestions to the listeners. That is, guitar solos are fun. It's abstract, but you can hear the adventurous performance (I want to believe it). My adventures often fail. But let's call it "fun" too. Still good. The guitar solo that you can play as you like is very fun and free. If you don't even record (well I do ...), it will soon disappear. It's good no matter how you play it. Whether it's messy or messy ... I think that adventurous spirit is the most important. Does this sound like an excuse for a crappy guitarist? In any case, I can only play what I can. The need for so-called "guitar solos" has now diminished, and long guitar solos are often said to be "single-minded". But when you hear this word like "Hora, do it", why don't you want to play the guitar?
